Mahogany Vanity Table with Silver Manicure Set C.1911

Description

Superb quality little Edwardian mahogany vanity table and manicure set c.1911. Just 16" wide (at the feet). Open the lid to reveal a bevelled mirror and birch lined interior fitted with six little silver top bottles and a lift-out tray (with a small compartment below) fitted with a silver handled manicure set. Hallmarks for London and Birmingham 1911. Note the quality brass hinges and the lock by Bramah of New Bond Street London. Slim drawer in the front plus a slide to the right hand side. Quarter veneered in mahogany with crossbanded edges and inlaid stringing to the top and all four sides. Herringbone veneers to the legs, also with strung edges. Fared at the feet for stability and joined with curving stretchers and an oval plaque at the centre. Some marks to the interior, generally excellent condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
