FAQs

Mid-century art encompasses various styles developed between the 1940s and 1960s, often focusing on simplified forms, industrial or urban subjects, and expressive brushwork.

Artists during this period frequently painted on artist boards, hardboard, or canvas panels using oil or acrylic mediums, often without elaborate framing to maintain a modern aesthetic.

Authenticity is typically verified by examining the physical support material, ageing characteristics of the paint medium, artist signatures, and framing techniques consistent with the mid-20th century.

These artworks pair well with minimalist frames and neutral walls, serving as focal points in living rooms, studies, or hallways alongside period furniture.

Keep paintings away from direct sunlight and high humidity, avoid touching the painted surface directly, and consult a professional conservator for cleaning or repairs.
