Farnham Antique Carpets has dated this piece to the 1880s.
Woven with a very open drawing with nice symmetry to the design, hand-woven around 1880 by skilled Turkish weavers in Ushak, Western Anatolia. A finer weave than we see on most Ushak, as usually they are coarser in weave, some may call this a Sivas which often produced finer examples from Ushak region.
