The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1960s.
The watch has a 21-jewel fully automatic movement which is working nicely.

The watch measures 35mm diameter excluding the winding crown and the lugs. The case is gold capped and it is in beautiful condition. Gold capped means a generous layer of 14k gold has been applied to the front and sides of the case and the bezel is solid 14k gold. It was said that the gold capping was so thick that it could hold its shape when not fitted to the case and apparently the salesman used to carry a sample of just the gold capping to demonstrate how strong it was.

The lens is in good condition.
The signed dial is in its original finish with original hands, centre seconds hand and day / date display. There is a little light marking to the dial but you have to look very closely to see it.
The day is set by turning the hands around continuously, and the date is set by pulling and pushing the crown.
A new leather strap has been fitted.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
