Large Tibetan/nepalese Bronze Vase ,C1880

Description

Large late 19th century bronze Tibetan or Nepalese vase,c1880. Standing at 27cm and weighing 1.2 kg this is a well cast and impressive example. Of traditional form the main body is decorated with a band of inset white stones, masks, raised dots and symbols. The handles are highly stylised mythical birds and the rim is in the form of an opening flower. There are character marks to the base. Overall condition is good and the metal has aged well with great colour/patina .
