The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1890s.
The watch has a seven jewel stem-winding movement, Bond St grade, which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed and it has the serial number 8,401,634 which dates it back to 1897. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.
The watch measures 50mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 14kt gold filled and it has engine turned detailing on both the front and the back.
The cartouche on the front of the watch has the initials WC.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover.
Inside, there is a glass lens which is in lovely condition.
The signed dial is in lovely condition with original blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and outer minute markers.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
