A rare 18th Century set of 12 hand coloured copperplate engravings of Zoological studies, featuring primates of varying species. Each colourfully executed with a naive charm, and Latin names underneath. Mounted in painted moulded wood frames. After illustrations by Heinrich Altenwanger. Circa 1775. In good condition and still retaining good colours.
