Antique Waltham Silver Half Hunter Pocket Watch, 1912

£215    $273    €259
Antique Waltham silver half hunter pocket watch, 1912.

The watch has a seven jewel Traveler grade stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is fully signed, and it has the serial number 17,653,711 which dates it back to around 1909. The movement is protected by an inner cover.

The watch measures 52mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside the three outer covers for Birmingham 1912, together with a maker’s mark for Aaron Dennison, case manufacturer and supplier to Waltham UK.

The front of the case has blue enamel filled Roman numerals surrounding a central lens. The case has a few little bruises to the front, and some unevenness to the back, not too detrimental. The letter E has been engraved in the cartouche on the back of the watch.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in lovely condition.

The dial is in lovely condition with blued steel hands, including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.
