Antique Ersari Turkmen torba with Chodor ertmen gul design.

Circa 1880.

This is an interesting torba which belongs to a well documented group of Ersari weavings from the 2nd half of the 19th century. The torba has a Chodor ertmen gul design on a warm madder red field. The simple box border design is typical for this group of weavings.

The torba is in excellent condition with very slight wear and good pile, it has a very soft floppy handle.
