Antique French Bronze Sculpture

Description

A wonderful antique French bronze sculpture, likely dating from around the 1860-1880 period.

It is of superb quality, the bronze is beautifully cast, with incredibly fine details. It depicts a female figure at sea, holding an anchor and with a cherub by her side. It is mounted on a polished slate base with a serpentine shape and thumb moulding around the edges.

The condition is excellent, with a gorgeous overall patina to the bronze.

Depth – 9 inches , 23 cm
