George Stanfield Walters RBA 1838-1924.Liverpool landscape and marine painter.Son of marine artist Samuel Walters.Moved to London 1865.A prolific artist,he exhibited mainly at SS(over 300 works before 1893),also at RA from 1860,BI,NWS and elsewhere.Drawings by him are in the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum. ‘ Venice’ signed watercolour, image size22x55.5cms, framed size 46x80cms.Framed in top quality giltwood frame with wash lined double mount;provenance: with Michael Fulda
