A good quality pair of Victorian hunting prints. The prints are mounted on a canvas and varnished; a technique not unusual for the period. One print is titled ‘Going a pace’ with a related verse below. The other is titled ‘Pounded’ again with a verse below. The pair are hand coloured and in good antique condition with the odd minor mark. The prints appear never to have been framed in a formal way but rather to have been varnished on the canvas and then hung by in period drops. The pair have a great period look and wonderful sepia colour and patina. C.1860.
