Antique Baluch rug from Khorasan province of Eastern Persia. A Baluch rug with a variation of the mina khani design on a dark indigo blue field.
Circa 1900.
The rug has an interesting variation of the Baluch leaf border. Both ends retain part of the original kilim end finishes, although they are showing signs of historic use. The rug has a warm colour palette due to the light madder red used throughout.
The rug is in excellent condition with slight even wear and good soft pile.
The rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
