Fine Pair Of Prints After Thomas Lawrence

Status: This item has been sold
Sold by: Prometheus Antiques

A fine pair of prints after original works by the artist Thomas Lawrence (1769-1830). The prints, both beautifully coloured, represent two portraits and each are titled on the reverse ‘Magarette’ and ‘Nell Gwyn’. The pair are framed in the original carved giltwood Florentine frames. The frames are beautifully carved with scrollwork and retain the original gilding. The frames are in excellent condition with no losses or repairs and only have the odd bit of slight separation due to warping over time. The prints are hugely decorative and the frames really are superb. C.1900.

Overall sizes in inches each: 21 ¾ by 25 ¾
