FAQs

Impressionist floral painting is an art style that focuses on capturing light, colour, and the transient effects of a scene rather than precise botanical detail, often utilizing visible brushstrokes.

Traditional oil paintings are created using artist-grade oil pigments suspended in a drying oil, applied to stretched woven canvas, and housed in hand-carved or molded plaster-on-wood frames.

Authentic antique pieces exhibit natural ageing characteristics such as canvas craquelure, oxidised varnishes, hand-tooled framing techniques, and artist signatures or studio stamps consistent with the period.

Positioning an ornate framed painting against a modern minimalist wall or anchoring it on a dedicated wall space creates a striking focal point that balances historic charm with modern simplicity.

Preserve oil paintings by keeping them away from direct sunlight, maintaining stable indoor humidity and temperature levels, and dusting the canvas and frame gently with a soft, dry brush.
