Antique Yaqoub Khani Baluch Rug, Octogen Design on Aubergine Ground, Circa 1900.

Description

Size: 6ft 11in x 4ft 4in (210 x 131cm).

Antique Baluch rug by the Yaqoub Khani sub tribe with octogen medallion design.

Circa 1900.

The rug has four large turreted octogen guls on a rich aubergine coloured ground. Note the traditional Yaqoub Kahani design on a white ground in each of the corners. The rug is framed by multiple traditional Baluch borders.

The rug is in good condition with slight wear and medium pile. The rug retains its original end finishes which are now showing some signs of wear.

The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
