The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is signed, ‘Adjusted by T A Jones, 352 Essex Road, London N’. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover which has a small indentation.

The watch measures 49mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are Continental silver marks inside all three covers. The case has a small bruise to the side, and some unevenness to the back. The front cover, with a small central lens surrounded by enamel filled Roman numerals, is released by pressing the winding crown.

Inside, there is an acrylic lens which is in good condition.
The dial is signed T A Jones, together with the number 74672, which is the same as the number on the movement. The dial is in good condition, just a faint hairline between 10 and 11 which is difficult to see with the naked eye. Pin set blued steel hands including the special half hunter hour hand so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
