Description

An antique Tabriz Persian rug, approximately 7' x 4'9", Circa 1930. This rug has an madder red coloured field of flowers around a central indigo flower medallion, enclosed by sky blue spandrels and deep indigo blue coloured floral borders. A hand knotted rug with reasonably high/good knot density, with short fringes to both ends and selvage to the other. Wool pile and cotton foundations.

An attractive old rug, in a reasonable condition but full of charm and ready for use.

This rug measures approximately 213.5 cm long including fringes, and 145 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in an overall reasonable condition, commensurate with its age. The pile has some wear though quite even. One small hole near centre. The fringes some wear and little losses. Little wear to side edges. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Clean and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
