French Walnut Dressing Table

19th century
Description

Circa 1890. French walnut Louis XIV style dressing table. The shaped bevel edge mirror contained in an elegant moulded frame with a profusely carved crest, supported by shaped carved uprights, with the mirror locked in position by cast brass finials in the form of pineapples, with a small pair of drawers and a shaped shelf. The flat surface with a simple moulded fore-edge with a shaped and carved frieze to the front concealing a drawer all resting on four elegant carved cabriole legs finishing on a well curled foot.
