An interesting Kurdish Soumakh rug, probably woven in the mid 20th Century. The design features, well, pretty much everything - human figures, figures on horseback, birds, goats, llamas (?!) and animals that look like they came straight out of the weaver’s imagination. Full of charm and character!

This rug is in good condition with light, age related wear. Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned.
