Description

A Songye Fetish power figure, Republic of Congo of wood covered in a brown pigment and carved as a standing man, his head inserted with a pair of sheep horn tips, with long face, his hands clasped to his rotund stomach with deep belly button, wearing an animal hide and sacking skirt, with bent knees on an oblong plinth. Circa 1900
