McTague of Harrogate has dated this Antique Oil Landscape Painting to the 1920s.
He exhibited extensively at the Walker gallery, Liverpool, Manchester city art gallery, Royal Academy and at other Galleries and Exhibitions throughout the Country. From 1924 onwards he lived at the Manor House in the hamlet of Nesfield, near Ilkley, where he also had a studio on the hillside above the house. Some of his finest work was painted in this area around his home in Wharfedale.

"Haymaking, Yorkshire" is a very fine example of his work. An oil painting on canvas measuring 20" x 24" it is signed lower right and has the original title on the back. It is framed in an English gold leaf frame giving an overall size of 27" x 30". Just lovely.
