Description

A Baluchi Afghan, handwoven rug, approximately 6' x 3', dating from the early C20th. This rug with madder coloured field with four panels containing latch-hook diamond medallions, enclosed by geometric borders and running dog guard stripes. A hand knotted, thin pile, supple rug, with kilim selvages to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.

This rug measures approximately 184 cm long including fringes, and 91 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in reasonable condition, commensurate with its age. Some losses to the ends. Some wear to the pile, including a couple of small holes. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
