Description

An antique Persian, Mazlaghan rug, approximately 6'5" x 4'2", dating from the late C19th. This rug has the classic lightening bolt design with red coloured field, central indigo medalion, enclosed by repeating borders. A hand knotted rug with fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.

A charming old rug, very well used, but full of life and with more to give.

This rug measures approximately 196 cm long including fringes, and 126 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in a very well used condition, commensurate with its age. The pile is very worn. The ends both have some losses and fraying. Some fraying to both side edges. Vacuumed, deodorised, and treated for moth prevention. Clean and ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
