Antique Turkish Rug Carpet

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a very pretty Turkish - Cypriot marriage rug in good order dating from around 1920. The rug has a sky blue field with central flower head medallion framed by spandrel enclosed by coral pink and camel borders. The carpet is in good order with a nice even pile and woven in fine Kork wool. There are some losses to the fringe at one one end.

This is a nice size at 188 cms by 126 cms.
