Description

An antique Caucasian, handwoven rug, approximately 3'10" x 2'5", dating from the second half of the C19th. This old rug has a field filled with geometric flowers, enclosed by repeating borders. A hand knotted rug with short medium pile, short fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.

A well worn in old rug, full of charm and character, lots of aged wear but still ready for use.

Dimensions:

This rug measures approximately 117.5 cm long including fringes, and 78 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in original, well worn, aged condition. Heavy wear to the pile. Losses to the fringes, and freeing to the edges. A good regular shape for an old rug. Vacuumed, deodorised, and given a moth prevention treatment. Still full of charm and very usable. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
