An antique Afghan Baluch, handwoven prayer rug, approximately 4'5" x 2'8", Circa 1930. This rug with aubergine coloured field of double medallions, mihrab, enclosed by multiple repeating borders. A hand knotted, rug with soft flexible pile, short fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.

This rug measures approximately 133.5 cm long including fringes, and 81 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This rug is in reasonable condition, commensurate with its age. Some blemishes, a little wear to the pile, losses to both ends, little fraying to the sides. A reasonably regular shape for an old handmade rug. Ready for use. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
