Description

This is a very pretty antique Tetex carpet with an attractive colour palette. The Caucasian style carpet is hand woven in soft fine wool and has a 3 panel geometric design and deep borders featuring a host of rainbow shades. Tetex were renowned for the quality and design of their carpets which were made in the early part of the 20th century, very much between the war years. It is a tufted hand woven carpet and yet has an incredibly soft handle and luxurious feel. The carpet is a very practical size being almost square.

There is a little wear to the ends and selvages and a good even pile overall.

This measures 183 cms by 156cms.

Interesting in both design and colours this would work well in both antique and modern settings.
