A finely carved late 18th Century wooden Santos or Apostles head. Bears traces of original paint to top of its head. Mounted on its original period heavily patinated brass repousse ornamented wooden base.

Item Condition
This item is completely solid in structure and form, an aged patina and fading of the wood has taken place across the surfaces as you may expect from an item of this age, one side of the ear is missing also. The Repoussé brass detail is loss in areas but still displays perfectly as shown, the 2 side panel brass sections are missing but you can see where they have been on the wooden surface. Please expect aged wear and tear as this item is dated from the late 18th Century and is reflective in its overall condition. Close up photos have been supplied to illustrate these points so please observe carefully and propose questions to us if needed.
