Antique Turkmen Tekke handwoven chuval, approximately 5' x 2'8", dating from the early C20th. This old chuval has a madder coloured field, with two rows of three guys, enclosed by repeating borders. A hand knotted rug with short finely woven pile, short fringes to both ends. Wool pile and foundations.

A high quality rug, with some flaws, though still usable.

This chuval rug measures approximately 82 cm long including fringes, and 152 cm wide.

Condition:

Please see the pictures for details of the items condition. - This chuval rug is in fair condition, commensurate with its age. Some wear to the fringes. A hole through the pile. One repair to one side edge. The top fringe has been folded underneath and is creased. - As with all vintage & antique furniture there will be signs of use, marks, wear & tear, etc.
