Probably of European origin, this delightful blockprint hanging is a riot of imagery and coloring. The composition is dominated by a 'Tree-of-Life' with birds and squirrels occupying the branches while grazing deers and other birds appear in the foreground. The border is beautifully drawn with flowers, birds and exotic animals, including lions. The colouring is exquisite, vivid yet harmonious. Worked on a linen background. In generally very good condition and clean. This is a very decorative hanging.
