An elegant French Louis XVI style gilt-wood sofa of superb quality.
C1880.
The padded back, arms and seat are flanked by acanthus carved uprights to the arms, on six fluted, tapering cylindrical legs with castors.
Covered with a divine green silk damask fabric.
The giltwood has a beautiful naturally distressed finish.
The condition is very good, strong and sturdy, the fabric is in good un-worn condition, has some minor marks, so could benefit from a clean.
