This nineteenth-century pedestal stand originates from China during the Qing dynasty period. The construction uses dark brown rosewood with a warm timber tone and features an inset circular marble top with pink and beige hues, surrounded by a beaded edge moulding and deep floral and foliate openwork carvings across the frieze. Slender cabriole legs display detailed carved vine patterns down their length and terminate in claw feet, supported underneath by a low crossed X-form stretcher with central knot decoration. Measuring 91 cm high by 43 cm wide and 43 cm deep, this compact table serves as an ideal surface for displaying decorative items such as small urns, sculptures or botanical vases.
