Driscolls Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
Dating from around 1880 and of superb quality, this Striking 19th Century Victorian Satinwood Antique Chest Of Drawers has been built by a true craftsman, possibly Gillows due to the design and highly figured timbers used.
The sides are panelled and the piece as a whole stands on a moulded plinth with shaped bracket feet. The satinwood has aged to a warm golden shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
