Impressionist landscapes focus on capturing light and atmosphere through visible brushstrokes and natural colour palettes rather than strict realism.

Traditional oil paintings are created using ground pigments suspended in drying oils applied to stretched canvas, linen, or wooden panels, often housed in gilded wooden frames.

Authenticity is assessed by examining canvas ageing, craquelure in the paint layer, stretcher frame construction, artist signatures, and provenance documentation.

Pairing historical artworks with contemporary minimalist decor creates a striking focal point, allowing the traditional textures and tones to stand out against neutral walls.

Protect oil paintings from direct sunlight, maintain stable humidity and temperature levels, and consult a professional conservator for cleaning or restoration.
