Every single antique dealer on our platform is individually approved by our internal team. We verify their professional trade history, ethical standards, and photographic quality to ensure a secure, high-standard buying environment. Upon joining, every dealer agrees to a strict 9-point code of conduct. While issues can occasionally arise, our dealers typically resolve them swiftly and directly with the buyer. In fact, since our founding in 2002, Sellingantiques has only had to step in to help resolve an issue on roughly five occasions—a true testament to the quality of our dealers and their dedication to your happiness.
Our dealers are highly experienced in packing and shipping fragile, high-value antiques. Because you are in direct contact with the dealer, you will be able to easily go through all available shipping and insurance options together to ensure your item arrives safely.
Antiques are the ultimate green purchase. By choosing historical pieces over newly manufactured goods, you completely eliminate the carbon footprint of modern mass production while preserving exceptional, timeless craftsmanship.

This 18th-century Georgian delft rack is constructed from solid oak with a dark brown finish. The open-back frame comprises three tiered open shelves, a moulded top cornice, plate grooves, and a central vertical support upright. Surface signs of age include natural wood grain variation and visible fastening points along the top rail. Measuring 108 cm high, 185 cm wide, and 11 cm deep, the piece mounts securely to a vertical surface. Suitable for rustic farmhouse interiors, the rack functions well in a dining room, kitchen, or living space. It is designed to display ceramics, plates, or decorative vessels, and is typically positioned above a sideboard, dresser, or console table to provide practical wall storage.

A delft rack is a wall-mounted shelving frame designed in the eighteenth century to store and display delftware, tin-glazed earthenware, and pewter tableware.

These racks were traditionally crafted from solid native timbers like oak, featuring hand-cut mortise and tenon joinery, wooden pegs, and moulded cornices with grooved shelves to hold plates upright.

Authentic period examples demonstrate hand-planed surfaces, irregular timber grain, original peg joinery or hand-forged nails, and natural oxidisation or surface patination consistent with age.

Position the rack above a sideboard or kitchen island to display modern ceramics, studio pottery, or framed artwork, blending heritage wood tones with contemporary aesthetics.

Maintain the finish by dusting with a lint-free cloth and applying microcrystalline or beeswax polish sparingly, keeping the wood away from direct heat sources and excessive moisture.
