FAQs

Impressionist landscape painting focuses on capturing light, atmosphere, and loose brushwork rather than meticulous detail, often depicting natural scenery outdoors.

These works commonly utilise oil pigments applied to primed hardwood boards, masonite, or heavy artist millboard, frequently signed by the artist.

Authentic pieces show genuine artist brush texture, pigment oxidisation, appropriate period framing, and correct signature markings consistent with mid-century techniques.

Pair the artwork with neutral walls, minimalist frames, and directional picture lighting to let the textured brushwork and historical colour palette become a focal point.

Display paintings away from direct sunlight, maintain stable room humidity, and gently dust the surface with a soft, dry brush without using liquid cleaners.
