Royal Worcester blush ivory refers to a specific soft, matte cream-coloured ceramic body introduced in the late 19th century, particularly popular during the Victorian era, characterised by its warm background designed to mimic ivory.

These pieces were crafted from fine porcelain or bone china, featuring hand-painted botanical motifs over a tinted ground, finished with hand-applied gilt accents along the moulded rims and handles.

Authenticity is verified through manufacturer backstamps found on the underside, which often include a crescent or crown-and-circle mark with dot codes indicating the specific year of manufacture.

They can be displayed within glass-fronted cabinets, on open shelving using plate stands, or incorporated into tablescapes to add a layer of historic charm and delicate craftsmanship.

Antique porcelain requires gentle hand washing in lukewarm water with mild soap using a soft cloth, avoiding abrasive scrubbers, dishwashers, and prolonged soaking to protect the delicate hand-painting and gilt.
