It was listed by Carse Antiques. Sold pieces stay on Sellingantiques as a record of what has passed through, and the next one is rarely far away.
Carse Antiques has dated this piece to the 18th Century.
The drawers are all mahogany lined using mahogany of un-believable quality (what a waste !!!!). The chest has typical 18th century mouldings to the top and base with original bracket style feet.
The chest is a nice mellow colour. It is so heavy even I can't lift it with the drawers inside. If you require a nice chest of this size you can't go wrong with this example.
