George III Mahogany Two Door Wardrobe

18th century
Description

Circa 1820. A late George III mahogany two door wardrobe. Classic moulded cornice with a concave section and flame mahogany frieze, with a large pair of doors with matching flame mahogany panels, elegant brass escutcheons and a ribbed brass beading separating the doors. Inside the wardrobe there is a brass rail and uninterrupted hanging in the top and a pair of full-length drawers in the base. Beneath the doors there is further mouldings and the whole piece rests on four squat bracket feet.
