This headboard was converted from what must have been a really impressive Mahogany sideboard. It is for a six foot bed, with the uprights being 178cms wide and 205 on the outside of those superb scrolls. The height listed below is from the bottom of the upholstery to the top of the carving. The woodwork is as good as you could expect (maybe better than you might expect) from an item that is around 150 years old. Colour is really good as is the condition of that superb carving. This was done for a client a few years ago and we know it cost hundreds of pounds. The upholstery is almost as good as the day it was done but there is a mark. We have tried to show this in the pictures as well as possible. We have not tried to get it out, it may or may not we dont know. If you can get it out this is a serious bargain, but it is priced for recovering hence the modest £185 price tag. This is a lovely item and would look good in an old or new house.
