Description

Small, neat size, George 1st walnut and oak two part tallboy or chest on chest. The drawers all have moulded edges with figured walnut veneer and herringbone feathered banding. The drawers all retain their original engraved brass handles. The drawers are all oak lined with the drawer bottoms going from back to front. The chest has all cross grain walnut mouldings and cornice. The chest has oak sides. The base section has its original shaped bracket feet.

The tallboy is in very good clean condition. It has been restored and revitalised in Victorian times, nothing major, mainly all the locks have been replaced with patented Victorian brass locks and the drawers have been polished inside.

The tallboy comes in two parts for moving and is a lovely mellow colour.
