This is a fine quality antique English Edwardian single four poster bed by Heal’s & Son of London, constructed of solid mahogany, with a Georgian design influence, circa 1910, in excellent original condition.

This bed fits a standard UK single size mattress (3ft” wide x 6ft 3” long) and the mattress can be either situated on the wooden slats, or on a sprung box base instead. The single four poster bed retains its original “Vono” cast angle iron bed frame, with supports below, which are used to support a sprung box base – these can be removed if not required. The angle irons are united with four bolts, to secure the bed frame.

Condition Report:

This is a fine quality antique English Edwardian single four poster bed by Heal’s & Son of London, constructed of solid mahogany, with a Georgian design influence, circa 1910, in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges and bed frame but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The single four poster bed has been cleaned and wax-polished in our workshop, therefore the colour and patination are of an excellent standard. The Edwardian four poster bed is solid in joint and is ready to use.
