Huge Walnut Antique Victorian Wardrobe by Robson & Sons

This striking 19th century Huge Walnut Antique Victorian Wardrobe is stamped by the renowned makers Robson & Sons of Newcastle-on-Tyne and dates from ca. 1870. It has a moulded cornice above a decoratively carved frieze and amazing original brass fittings. The two outer full length doors have beautifully figured fielded panels with ebonised edges and fine carvings. The central section has two cupboard doors above two over four graduating drawers with brass handles and moulded edges. The outer interiors have hanging rails and the central interior would be ideal for a TV or lots of storage for bedding etc. This quality antique wardrobe has the original backboards, splits into several sections for removal. It has lots of wonderful charm and character and the walnut has aged to a warm shade with a striking grain, good patina, is in very good original condition and has been beautifully cleaned using a traditional wax polish.
