A superb 1920's Burr Walnut and parcel gilt sofa, the curved shaped frame with central back splat flanked by panels of double cane work, the down swept arms terminating with acanthus carved detail above scallop shell capped hoof feet, the sofa benefits from the finest selection of Burr Walnut with parcel gilt details. The cane work is in good conditon.Upholstereed in the finest silk damask with highlights of Pink and Gold, A truely great example of a bergere sofa.

Please note that we also have the matching pair of armchairs available for sale by seperate negotiation, however there is some damage to the canework on the chairs. A chair is shown in the last photo but others are available on request.
