A very charming George III solid oak sideboard dresser of small proportions.
c.1790.
The top with a decorative stepped moulded edge has lovely inlay decoration of ebony and boxwood chequered pattern and thick mahogany cross-banded border. The two drawer fronts are decorated with matching inlay. The drawers are constructed from solid oak internally and are of dove-tail construction.
Lovely decorative shaped apron to the front and sides
Standing on cabriole forelegs and square section legs to the back.
Full of character and having a rich warm glowing patina to the oak.
In excellent antique condition. With minor expected general signs of age and use.
Very solid, sturdy and strong.
