Circa 1790. A wonderful quality George III mahogany and inlaid sideboard. The top in rich flamed mahogany of great colour and patination, with string inlay and broad crossbanding. There is a configuration of one long drawer with a storage section beneath. On the left-hand side there is a pair of drawers and on the right a pair of faux drawers, opening to reveal a lead lined wine box. Each of the drawers has a cast brass shaped handle and a pressed back plate, the drawers have string inlay, central drawer with a pair of lifting handles with a cupboard below with an arched front with flame mahogany beneath which pulls out. The sideboard stands on six square tapering legs each with string inlay finishing on a simple splayed foot.
