Description

A very nice example of a late 17thc brass chafing dish with turned fruitwood handle, which would have been used to bring hot food to the table, heated up by charcoal...this is an excellent example and is typical of the 17thc with early copper rolled rivets to attach the wide base and repeated in the side to attach the handle..... the same method as they used on warming pans of this period...it is decorated with punchwork patterns and for its age and use it is in very nice condition.....
