Glamorganshire Oak Low Dresser

A handsome Welsh low dresser made from dense, close grained native oak which has acquired a soft, nut brown colour. The three shallow drawers each have bands of chequer inlay and a double-D moulding applied to the surrounding carcase.
 
The triple arched frieze contains two small false drawers and the four front legs have a combination of ring and baluster turning which extends to the feet below the potboard.
 
The brassware has been replaced in appropriate style. Glamorganshire circa 1730-50.
