Tom Dudley (1857-1935) was born in York and first trained as an architect. He took lessons from William James Boddy and is known for his townscapes mainly painted in watercolours. His work was shown in public and private galleries throughout the U.K.
 
''York'' is an attractive example measuring 6''x 9''. It is signed and inscribed and is mounted giving an overall size of 11''x 15''.
